If you've found your way here, you may already know that something needs to change.
We created The Embodied Mind Clinic because we saw the same pattern again and again, both in our clients and in our own lives: a persistent disconnect between the body and the mind.
You may know this experience intimately. Perhaps you've spent months in therapy, gaining insights into your patterns, yet your body still carries the same tension, the same chronic pain, the same knot in your stomach. Or maybe you've tried physical treatments—osteopathy, massage, physiotherapy—and while you feel temporary relief, the symptoms always return because the anxious thoughts, the worry, the underlying stress never truly shifts.
We witnessed people struggling with chronic pain that therapy couldn't touch, and anxiety that physical treatment couldn't resolve. It became clear to us that to facilitate true, lasting healing, we needed to address both simultaneously.
Our core philosophy is simple: chronic suffering is often a feedback loop. The body holds the physical score of our past traumas and stresses, while the mind writes protective—and often limiting—stories about those sensations. One feeds the other in an endless cycle.
Our unified, dual-practitioner approach is designed to interrupt this cycle. In our sessions, we create a space where the body can feel safe enough to release and the mind can learn new ways to relate to its experience. This isn't just two practitioners working side by side; it's a carefully orchestrated collaboration where somatic release and psychological insight happen simultaneously, each supporting and deepening the other.
Allow us to introduce ourselves properly.
Somatic Osteopath
My journey into healing began with a deep fascination for the physical body. As an osteopath, I spent years studying its intricate mechanics, learning to listen to the subtle language of tissues, fascia, and the nervous system. Through thousands of hours of hands-on work, I came to understand that the body holds our history. It is a living record of every stress, every injury, and every unspoken emotion.
I realised that my primary role wasn't just to "fix" a physical issue, but to create a space of profound somatic safety. Through gentle, intuitive touch and a deep understanding of the autonomic nervous system, I help clients down-regulate from states of fight, flight, or freeze. In our sessions, my work provides a grounding anchor, allowing the body to feel secure enough to let go of patterns it has been holding—sometimes for a lifetime.
Integrative Psychotherapist
My path has been through the world of the mind—as a psychologist, a student of contemplative traditions like Zen and Sufism, and a technologist exploring how we interact with information. I've become fascinated by the powerful, often invisible, narratives that shape our lives. We all tell ourselves stories to make sense of our pain, and while these stories are born from a deep need to protect ourselves, they can also become cages that limit our potential.
Using frameworks from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and non-dual inquiry, my role is to guide you through your inner landscape. As Ayshe creates safety in the body, I help you bring a gentle, curious awareness to the thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that arise. Together, we work not to eliminate difficult thoughts, but to change your relationship with them—to see them as mental events rather than absolute truths.
In our work together, we operate in tandem. As Ayshe's hands-on osteopathic work helps your nervous system release stored tension and trauma, Kai's guidance provides the psychological framework to process the emotions and thoughts that surface. This synergy is the heart of our method.
This collaborative approach stops the cycle of physical tension fueling anxious thoughts and anxious thoughts fueling physical tension. Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, we address the root cause of the disconnect, fostering deep and lasting integration.
Our work is inspired by a simple but profound belief: that within every person is an innate capacity for healing and wholeness. We have both walked our own paths through pain and confusion, and we know that the journey is not about becoming "perfect" or "unbreakable." It is about learning to meet ourselves, in all our complexity, with compassion and awareness.
Our shared purpose is to help you move beyond just managing symptoms and step into a more integrated, resilient, and fully embodied life. We are here to provide the tools, the space, and the guidance for you to rediscover the wisdom that already exists within you.
If you feel that disconnect between how you feel and how you want to live, we invite you to begin with The Somatic Blueprint—a comprehensive 90-minute assessment where we create a personalized map of your unique mind-body system.
